Youth STEM Camps are here

Our STEM Camps use an interdisciplinary approach to learning where rigorous academic concepts are coupled with real-world lessons as students apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in contexts that make connections between school, community, work, and the global enterprise enabling the development of STEM literacy and with it the ability to compete in the new economy.

Registration is free!!!

All STEM activities are offered to qualifying youth (9th grade-12)  participants free of charge and program supplies, transportation and meals are provided when applicable.

School may be out for the summer, but the learning doesn’t have to stop! You’ll find STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) activities in many out-of-school time programs because there’s clear evidence that hands-on STEM activities give youth knowledge and skills, a higher likelihood of graduation and better attitudes about STEM fields and careers.
Our camps explore the many aspects of STEM, inspired by a weekly theme. Campers embark on creative journeys that spark their imaginations. Camps focus on teaching the creative process through games, movement, storyboarding, STEM projects, and more.
Sample STEM Activities
(SCIENCE) Stress Management: Stress is at epidemic levels in the world today. This  activity will explore the physiological, social and psychological impacts of stress and study modalities to get stress under control.  Students will examine the relationship between stress and health, nutrition, and physical activity, and discover how stress can develop. They will learn about the different therapies that can help reduce stress, including how healthy living habits---such as exercise and diet---can help counteract the negative impact of stress.

(ENGINEERING) Manufacturing Applications: Learn to apply the principles and concepts of manufacturing. Discover the nature of strategy and learn how it leads to the development of manufacturing strategy. Learn why manufacturing, industrial, and quality engineering are so essential to any firm. Understand the true meaning of productivity and how to improve it.
(TECH) Creating Mobile APPs: Do you want to make mobile apps that run on iPhone and iPad, as well as on Android, and Windows Phone? Sure you do! Do you want to learn five different programming languages? Of course you don't! Fortunately, you're about to discover a better way to build apps. This activity allows participants to learn how to imagine, design, build, and optimize a cross-platform mobile app using the very latest HTML5 standards. The result will be a mobile app that's fast and runs on just about any smartphone or tablet computer.

(MATH) Math is much more intuitive.
Math isn't about plugging numbers into formulas. It's about knowing enough to make the numbers and formulas work for you. Math can be incredibly useful - but only if you understand how and when to apply it in your everyday life.
This activity will show students how to use math to their advantage. They won't find any theory or memorization here. This course is filled with practical exercises and information that  can be put to immediate use. Students  will find out some very interesting things about how calculators work, and then they will discover how best to get a handle on  income and expenses.
